Legal
Privacy policy
This policy explains how Window Savings UK (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you request a double glazing quote through this website. We are the data controller for the information you submit here.
What we collect
When you complete the quote form we collect the details you enter:
- your first name and last name;
- your email address;
- your phone number;
- your postcode; and
- your answer to whether you own your home.
Alongside the form, we also collect marketing attribution data so we understand which campaign brought you here. This includes the campaign source, medium, campaign name and search term (for example UTM values), advertising click identifiers (such as Google and Meta click ids), the page you first landed on, your browser’s user-agent string and your IP address. These are captured automatically and stored in first-party wml_* cookies and your browser’s local storage — see our cookie policy for detail.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to respond to the quote request you have made. In practice that means we will contact you by phone about the enquiry you submitted — to confirm a few details and, where appropriate, arrange a free, no-obligation home survey. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest (and yours) in responding to the request you actively made. The marketing attribution data is used to measure and improve our advertising.
Who we share it with
Window Savings UK is a marketing website; we are not the installer. Qualified enquiries may be passed to a single matched installation partner so they can prepare your quote and arrange a survey. We only share what is needed for that purpose, and we do not sell your data to unrelated third parties. We also use trusted service providers (for example hosting and analytics) who process data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry details for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised — unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation or to handle a dispute. Marketing attribution cookies expire after 90 days.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
How to contact us
To make any of these requests, or to ask a question about your data, you can reply to the call or message you receive from our team, or get in touch using the contact details we provide in our correspondence with you. Please tell us which website you enquired through so we can find your record quickly.
